By industry standards our system is considered “dustless”. However, in our opinion no system is truly 100% dustless and we like to set that expectation up front. While our sanding system minimizes dust by connecting directly to powerful vacuums (unlike those old-school dust bag contraptions). In short, a little light post-sanding dust bunny wranglin might still be necessary.

Yes. We do not move any furniture or appliances. We kindly ask that you remove furniture, appliances, and other belongings from the work area before we arrive.

Most projects 1,000 square feet or smaller can be completed within 5 days. Larger Projects can sometimes take 2-3 weeks to complete. We’ll keep you informed throughout the process, so you’ll always know the timeline.

Sand and finish projects require access to a standard 220v outlet (think electric dryer or range outlet).
Climate Control. Wood flooring thrives in a specific environment: 35%-50% relative humidity and 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Maintaining these conditions within the work area is key when dealing with wood flooring.
As mentioned before, furniture, appliances and personal belongings need to be out of the way before we start.
For safety reasons, we kindly ask that unaccompanied children and pets stay clear of the work area during the project.

Yes, but keep in mind that refinishing involves sanding, sealing, and finishing, which may create temporary odors and require drying time. If you’re sensitive to smells or have small children and pets, you may want to arrange alternate accommodations for at least part of the process.

We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before walking on the floors with socks, 48 hours before wearing shoes, and 7 days before placing furniture or rugs back. For best results, follow our post-care instructions to protect your new finish.

Yes! We offer a variety of stain options and can also create custom blends to match your vision. During your consultation, we’ll show you samples and help you choose the perfect color for your space.

We primarily use high-quality water-based finishes for their durability, fast drying times, and low odor. However, if you prefer oil-based finishes for a richer tone, we can accommodate that as well. We’ll discuss the best options for your specific needs during your consultation.

Not necessarily. In most cases, we can work around baseboards. However, if you’re planning to replace or repaint them, it’s best to do so after the flooring project is complete.

To keep your floors looking their best:
Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dirt and debris.
Use a damp (not wet) microfiber mop with a hardwood floor cleaner.
Avoid harsh chemicals, steam mops, or excessive water.
Place protective pads on furniture legs to prevent scratches.
Maintain humidity levels between 35%-50% to prevent wood expansion or shrinking.

Absolutely! Refinishing wood floors is a great way to extend the life of your flooring and is cheaper and more environmentally safe than a full replacement. If you're tired of the current look of your floors and want an update, you can refinish your floors to get a completely different look.

It sure does! According to a 2022 survey performed by the National Association of Realtors, refinishing hardwood floors provides the highest average cost recovered (147%) resell value of any interior remodeling project.

When cared for properly, hardwood can last anywhere from 80-100 years. This is a huge advantage over alternative products such as LVP or carpet which tend to only last 10-15 years at most.
